Ian Prosser has a repertoire that exceeds what anyone thought was possible over 30 years ago when he started his floral career. His list of accolades and achievements runs long and he continues to be a leader in the floral industry worldwide, making him a mentor to others. Yet, Ian still takes on each event personally with the utmost creativity and care, making him one of the most sought after floral designers in the world.
Born in Scotland, he started his career with 3 successfully owned floral design shops in Glasgow. During his time there, he was the youngest person to receive the honor of “Floral Designer of the Year” for all of Scotland in addition to his “National Diploma of the Society of Floristry”, the highest European honor in floral design.
In 1989, Ian opened Botanica International Design Studio to serve the greater Tampa Bay area and now, the expanded Botanica International Design & Décor Studio designs events across the globe. His specific design division for über creative events, Ian Prosser Productions was created in 2012, and is already defining beauty for clients in ways that are indescribable.

One of Ian’s most prized successes was the invitation by the Society of American Florists to design the inaugural decorations for President Bill Clinton and President George W. Bush. In 2005, Ian was given the honor to serve as “Floral Design Chairperson” for the second-term inauguration of President George W. Bush. As this designation, he helped in the selection and management of 160 florists from across the country to create the floral design for the numerous events surrounding the inauguration. Working closely with the Presidential Inaugural Committee he styled rooms for 14 official events, including the 9 inaugural balls.
At the 119th Annual Convention recently of the Society of American Florists, Ian was awarded one of the highest accolades in the Floral Industry, the Paul Ecke Junior Award for outstanding service to the industry and the community. Most recently, he received the title of ‘Iron Designer’, at the International Floraculture Expo in New Orleans.
