Tim Huckabee

Tim Huckabee was born and raised in Connecticut having attend Southern Connecticut State University.
He moved to NYC in 1989 and still lives there with Martin, his partner of 20 years. Tim enjoys travel and business has taken him to all 50 states, nearly every Canadian province and as far as Australia. He comes from a big family and spends as much time in NY as he does with parents, sisters, niece and nephews in Connecticut.
Tim started his floral career at Surroundings in Manhattan's upper west side neighborhood in 1993 where le learned all aspects of the daily life in a busy shop. With the blessing of the owner, he packed all the best practices he learned, along with marketing background, and launched FloralStrategies in 1997. To date Tim has worked with over 7000 flower shops and FloralStrategies remains the world's first and only company dedicated to entirely to helping florists to prosper.

We shouldn’t apologize for charging what we’re worth.
People never complain that a flower arrangement is too beautiful.
You’re website isn’t afraid of customers or rejection, and that’s why they typically have a 25% higher sales value.
We need to understand the difference in hearing and listening. Listening is where the opportunities begin.
We often leave sales on the table because we’re afriad to ask. It’s much easier to lower a high price than it is to raise a lower price.
By creating a curated shopping experience you can stream line and make your process more efficient and give your customer a better shopping experience.
Don’t underestimate the value of communicating with your customers to guide them and help manage their expectations.
