Mattie Bush-Martin created Amelia’s Flower Truck in 2016 with one truck and a dream to bring Nashville accessible flowers, and has since grown the business into a multi-faceted floral company including brick-and-mortar shops, nationwide direct-to-consumer shipping, subscription services, and events capabilities. Inspired by her travels, specifically her time spent in Paris discovering the magic of its local flower shops, Mattie wanted to set her business apart with the ethos of making flowers truly accessible for everyone coupled with a unique, creative aesthetic that Nashville hadn’t seen before. The Florida native dipped her toe in a multitude of industries prior to founding Amelia’s, including working for an event venue, as a production assistant, substitute teacher, and an operations manager before realizing her path as an entrepreneur and author–releasing her first children’s book, Amelia and the Old New Truck, in early 2023. What started as a social media sensation with trucks roving around Nashville for pop-ups and residencies, is now three flower shop locations in Tennessee, a new locale in Raleigh, NC, the ability to ship nationwide, and more. Mattie takes pride in having successfully taken the back-of-the-house to the front of the flower shop and welcomes customers to be a part of the creative process to feel even more connected to their product.
