From Marryn…..When I discovered flower farming 8 years ago, I fell in love with the idea of showing our children the joy of a life of digging in the dirt, being outside and growing beauty.
So we took the leap, sold our home in the suburbs, bought the farm, and became flower farmers. It was a big jump, but it was so worth it.
There’s nothing like seeing the smile on someone’s face when you hand them fresh flowers from the farm, flowers that we’ve grown and nurtured, now bringing joy and happiness to others. It’s hard work, but it’s good work. So here we are, our little family, - growing a life we love and making a difference in the soul of our community and gardens across the country one beautiful bloom at a time
Show Notes
It’s ok to look back at the year and select some flowers that you’d like to pass on for next year. Not all flowers work for you, your schedule, and you’re palette of blooms.
The area of the country that you live in, will impact the variety of sweet peas you should grow and when you should plant them.
Sweet peas have a way of showing you what the want or need.
If you’re interested in saving seed, sweet peas can be a great starter plant for doing this. Since they don’t typically cross pollinate you’re safe to save the seed for the same varieties next year.
Sweet peas are a very nostalgic flower. They can stir the heart and soul providing a flood of memories from the past and the future.
