Mac & the Mushroom is a woman owned floral design studio in the NYC area specializing in creating your story. Owner & lead designer Kim Kachougian, has been recognized 4 times as an Emmy awarded contributor for set decoration on Saturday Night Live, where she currently works. Between shows she utilizes her film experience to create unique floral designs that will complete her clients vision. Kim’s enthusiasm for unexpected elements, often mixed with vivid colors help her achieve a style that is aimed at brightening any location. Her work is artistic and modern, shaping flowers that make a memorable impression.
Kim is available for custom projects on photo shoots,. events and weddings.

I thought it was great for Kim to recognize that she thrives on the last minute weddings and events. If your skill set does well in that pressure filled environment, it might be a great selling point for you.
We’ve had past guests mention the guest experience before so I think it’s great to remind ourselves to ask the clients, how do you want your guests to feel as the result of your flowers and designs?
It’s fun and creative to design different looks with your decor for each of the tables in an event. It helps keep things interesting.
