Show Notes

  1. Chrysal has a product that works for any part of the industry:  grower, importer, wholesaler and especially the florist.

  2. Don’t look at floral food as something you can’t afford, but instead something that brings added value and longevity for your customers.

  3. What’s in a packet? Energy in the form of sugars, pollution inhibiters in the form of biocides, and acidifiers to help with uptake.

  4. Flowers from a box are not design ready.  You should have protocols in place for properly processing your cut stems.

  5. Be sure to use the correct dosing when using floral foods.  To little and too much isn’t good for your flowers.

  6. Understanding the difference in these professional solutions can help you select the best product for your stage in the distribution of flowers.

  7. Ethylene can impact the longevity of your flowers too, so don’t mix fruit and flowers in the same cooler.

  8. And lastly, it’s always best to start clean.
